52 Weeks of Lolita ~ What style do you think it's the most underrated and why?

Hello my yummy salted caramel cookies! ^w^

Today on my blog I'm going to do another 52 weeks of Lolita prompt, yay! ~ The subject for this week is...

~ What style do you think it's the most underrated and why? ~

I think that my answer might not be an unpopular opinion... It's Punk Lolita! ^w^

I think there are various reasons why this style is underrated in my opinion...

First of all, we usually tell beginners that the substyles of Lolita that are more tricky to be pulled off by beginners should be avoided until you get a more familiar grip with the fashion as a whole. And often the newbies that try these styles without having a good knowledge of Lolita fashion first often end up... not looking their best... ^w^''

However, I think that once you get the fashion and how to put a great coordinate together, you can have so much fun, experiment and not be afraid of tastefully breaking the rules a bit to make your coordinate more interesting! ~

I also think that people might not often share their punk coordinates that much because of how uncommon it is. Some of us like to experiment and push things a little bit more far creatively and that's okay! :3 But maybe people don't share these more experimental coordinates as much because they are afraid of getting some criticism that is unwanted or that is trying to put them back into the cookie cutter Lolita mold? I don't really know since I don't experiment that much but that's my little theory, haha! ^w^''

Do you guys agree with me? :3 What is the most underrated Lolita substyle in your opinion? ^w^

Until next time my cute fluffy puppies, stay safe and take care! ~

  1. I agree with you! For me it still a little bit hard to make a punk lolita coord since my wardrobe is mostly sweet prints and I am clueless how to add some punk elements to the coord, but I want to try to make a punk lolita coord someday!

  2. Have you ever had the chance to try it for yourself? I think sweet x punk looks are really cute!

    1. I would really want to try it someday, even if it's just one coord for fun! ^^
