Daily Outfits! ~ March 11th to March 31st!

Hello my sweet cherry cupcakes! :3

I'm back on my blog today after a little while... ^^'' I am off work since a little over two weeks already and I haven't been dressing up a lot, sadly. I've been staying at home relaxing a lot and taking care of myself and the Prince. ~

However I do have two outfits from the last week I worked and a few casual-cute outfits from the last weeks to show you. :3 They aren't the most elaborate outfits and they don't fit a particular style I would say but these are just cute outfits I wore when I wanted to dress up but still be comfy haha... ^^;

So now onto the proper Lolita outfits! ~

~ Outfit from March 11th! ~

Headbow; Oo Jia
Dress; Oo Jia
Socks; Bodyline
Bag; Loris
Accessories; Paradise Rose, Rococo Soul & Offbrand

I wanted to coordinate my Vanilla-chan OP with some blue for an original touch. ^^; I also coordinated it with touches of white with my necklace, bracelet and the polka dots on my socks hehe. :3 I wore simple accessories themed around pearls and roses. ~ I really liked that outfit, I like to coordinate that OP with blue! :3

~ Outfit from March 12th! ~

Headbow; Oo Jia
Blouse; Dear Celine
Jumperskirt; Oo Jia
Socks; Bodyline
Bag; Loris
Accessories; Paradise Rose & Chocomint

It's been a while since I've worn my Cherry Berry Bunny dress! ^^; I coordinated it with white and some touches of pink this time. ~ I chose accessories themed around berries and bunnies. :3

Now onto the casual-cute outfits! ^^;

~ Outfit from March 24th! ~

Headbow; Anna House
Tshirt; Bananya (Crunchyroll)
Skirt; Handmade
Socks; Striped ones from Bodyline, wool ones handmade by my grandma. XD;
Accessories; Chocomint & Offbrand

I don't have a lot of casual clothes (like, maybe 10 main pieces in total) so I like to wear the most unusual colour combos whenever I can! ~

~ Outfit from March 26th! ~

Headbow; Anna House
Shirt; Claire France
Skirt; Handmade
Socks & Slippers; Walmart
Accessories; Offbrand

I'm also much more relaxed when it comes to colour balancing and colour matching in my casual outfits. ~ You can still tell it's very Otome and J-Fashion inspired though... XD;

~ Outfit from March 31st! ~

Headbow; Anna House
Cardigan; Stolen from my grandma lol
Tshirt; Kawaii Machine
Skirt; Penningtons
Socks; Fan Plus Friend

I also like to mix and match my Otome-ish closet with my Fairy-Kei closet sometimes so it can leads to interesting style combos... XD; The Prince always says that I look like a witch who tried to dress up in muggle clothes whenever I dress casual lol... ^^''

I hope you liked my outfits, even the more simple casual ones. ;o; I'm still not going back to work for another two weeks so I'll try to dress up as much as I can to brighten up my moods at home haha... ^^;

I sadly don't have a lot of ideas for blog posts since our monthly meetups have been cancelled too... Things may be a bit slow on here until the world gets back to normal. ~

Until next time my precious pink fluffy kittens, take care! ^w^

Anime Review! ~ Dokidoki Precure!

Hello my shiny turquoise gems! ~

I'm back on my blog today with another anime review! ^w^ In February I finished Dokidoki Precure and I enjoyed it quite a lot! :3

I also want to preface my review by saying that I am currently watching all the Precure series in order, so I cannot compare to the most recent series which I have not seen. ~

As usual, I try to make my reviews as spoiler free as possible but they may contain minor spoilers though! ^^;

Dokidoki Precure

Dokidoki Precure is the 10th season of Precure. It aired back in 2013-2014. It have 49 episodes and a movie.

It's also dubbed as "Glitter Force Dokidoki" in english. The dubbed version have removed quite a lot of episodes and plot elements though and I haven't watched it. (Because I don't have any interest in anime dubs, oops... XD)

Story

The plot of this season is basically centered around fighting "selfishness" and bad emotions and bringing love back into the hearts of people. I really loved the theme of the series and the morals are quite deep for a kids show which is always something I like. ~

The story premise was a bit different than the other Precure seasons I have seen before! Usually in the first episodes the main cure would discover a fairy that would explain basically which kingdom they would have to protect, the reason why and what they should do in order to do that... But for this season there was already a cure that was a cure before the show started! I thought that was an interesting twist that wasn't done before from what I remember.

 I loved how they did play with that theme and how it brought a good handful of cliffhanger and plot twists into the story. I would say that, plot and story wise, this season is definitely the most well constructed so far. There is a bit of "age twisting" (I don't know how to put it ahah) and it may be a bit hard to follow at times for a kids show but it has been done before (in Suite Precure if I remember well?) and it's nicely explained though. ~

Art

The art style is pretty basic for a Precure series. Lots of colours, lots of pastels and sparkles! :3 I loved their cure outfits and how they all look different in terms of silhouette and design for once! I really liked how they animated their attacks, especially the very last one they get as a group attack. I also thought that it was interesting, unless the past few seasons, they have smaller individuals attacks that they use for support through the show (like Rosetta Reflexion). I feel like it's been a while since they had a proper defensive/protective attack, which is usually my favourite attacks! ^^;

Sound

I liked the opening and the endings for this series! ~ The voice of the characters matched their personalities nicely and none of them were grating to me. XD; I would have loved to see more songs integrated the show since Makoto (Cure Sword) is an idol though... ^^''

Characters

I thought that there was quite a lot of character focused episodes which is always something I like. ^^; Each character get around 2 or 3 episodes focused on their development which is typical for a Precure series. I really loved the fact that they all have their personal fairy. :3

Cure Heart was the typical bubbly pink leader. I liked her personality even is she was waaay too naive with Regina... I thought that Cure Diamond was nice and a bit quirky; still a typical studious blue cure but it wasn't overwhelming. Cure Rosetta is my waifu. XD; Love her personality, I love the fact that she is rich and that she have a mansion and butler but she is still facing personal hardships and trying to get through them. ~ Cure Sword is probably my least favourite cure... She does get a bit of development but I didn't like her for most of the first arc of the series. She was very arrogant and haughty with the first three cures at the start of the series and it was very much unnecessary in my opinion. Cure Ace was okay... Her development episode with her grandma made me like her a bit more but she was very much like Cure Sword at first and kind of rude for no reason which is isn't something I like, especially between cures... I usually have a thing against anime babies but Ai-chan isn't so bad honestly. She didn't bother me that much and there wasn't a lot of "baby focused" episodes which was nice. XD;

The main villains were okay; not too deep but not bland either. XD; Their villain bowling alley was cool and it kind reminded me of Sailor Moon villains. I loved the weird romance-ish episode between Ira and Cure Diamond. XD; Also, there was two villains that appeared in the middle of the series and they lasted only for a few episodes before not being seen again and I thought that was a bit weird? XD; I personally had a hard time with Regina... I feel like they tried to make her "relatable" but Mana (Cure Heart) is really too naive and that bothered me a lot how Regina played with her kindness and emotions? It gets worse as the series progress too... ^w^''

Enjoyment

I really enjoyed the series because I feel like this is one of the few Precure series so far that have a proper interesting plot. I loved the plot twists and the new things that they introduced to change up the typical mechanism for once. I loved the fact that they would use their support attacks for what they are and not necessarily as a big "power up" moment which was something I thought was laking in the last Precure series.

Overall I give Dokidoki Precure a rating of 9 out of 10!

I hope you enjoyed my Precure review! :3 Until next time my wonderful pink donuts with rainbow sprinkles, take care! ^w^

Daily Outfits! ~ February 17th to March 6th!

Hello my sweet strawberry cupcakes! :3

The last weeks were very eventful for me; I was sick with a bad cold at the end of February so I missed work for a few days... I also went to my hometown two weeks ago. Finally, last weekend I spent a lot of time hanging out with friends (which was very much needed!). ^^;

But now I am back on my blog today with a few of my outfits from the last weeks! ~ I didn't take a lot of outfit pictures because I genuinely thought that most of them were boring but I still have a few to share and I hope you'll enjoy them, hehe! ^w^

~ Outfit from February 17th! ~

Headbow; Momo & Jia
Blouse; Kidsyoyo
Jumperskirt; Momo & Jia
Socks; Secret Shop
Bag; Loris
Accessories; Offbrand & Handmade

I was feeling my old-school vibes on that day so I dug out my purple cameo ring for that outfit! :3 It's a simple lilac and pink outfit themed around flowers. ~ I don't pair that blouse with that jumperskirt very often so it was nice to wear them together for a change! :3

~ Outfit from February 18th! ~

Headbow; Momo & Jia
Blouse; Oo Jia
Skirt; Oo Jia
Socks; Secret Shop
Bag; Loris
Accessories; Sugar Raindrops, Chocomint, Paradise Rose & Offbrand

Lilac and blue is probably one of my favourite and most creative colour combo in Lolita! ~ I already wore a similar outfit with that blouse and skirt years ago but I wanted to give it a try again! ^^; I tried to keep a hearts and pearls theme! I don't wear that lilac and white Chocomint bracelet so often because it is SO annoying and impractical but it was perfect for that outfit though! ~

~ Outfit from March 3rd! ~

Featuring my new/refreshed hair, haha! ~

Headbow; Kidsyoyo
Blouse; Anna House
Jumperskirt; Dream of Lolita
Socks; Anna House
Bag; Loris
Accessories; Sugar Raindrops & Paradise Rose

I feel like since that jumperskirt is such a light shade of pink that it looks best when coordinated with white! ^^; So that's what I did on that day. ~ I wanted to keep a simple theme with the accessories too! I also tried to braid my hair at my new length (I got almost a third of my length cut, aah!) to make sure it didn't look too silly... ^w^''

~ Outfit from March 4th! ~

Headbow; Dream of Lolita
Blouse; Dear Celine
Jumperskirt; Dream of Lolita
Socks; Offbrand
Bag; Loris
Accessories; Paradise Rose & Chocomint

I felt like I haven't worn a good blue and pink coordinate with my Snowbunny jumperskirt in a while! ^^; So I wore that outfit to cheer me up at work last week! I kept the accessories minimal and around a fluffy bunny theme. ~ I loved that outfit even if it was quite simple for that print. :3

~ Outfit from March 6th! ~

I wore that outfit for a bubble tea date with my friend Catherine and to run errands after. ~

Headbow; Miko Lolita
Blouse; Dear Celine
Skirt; Anna House
Socks; Anna House
Bag; Loris
Accessories; Holley Tea Time

I wanted to wear a casual and comfy outfit with my detachable jabot! ^^; Since I haven't worn it with that blouse yet (or at least I don't remember XD) I decided to make a coordinate around it. ~ I wanted to keep my outfit quite simple so I went with plain socks, my small pink sidebow and my glittery heart ring to add an interesting touch. ~

So that was my outfits from the last few weeks! ^^; I still have a couple of posts I want to make in the near future (An anime review and my fall/winter favourites!) so stay tuned for that soon! :3

Until next time my perfectly fluffy kittens, take care! ~

Saguenay's Lolita Meetup! ~ February 2020!

Hello my lovely and warm periwinkle blankets. :3

I'm back on my blog today with the very few pictures I took during our monthly Lolita meetup for February with my local community! ^^;

I'm a little bit later then what I would have liked but the last week was SO hectic for me; I was sick with a bad cold for most of the week and I had to prepare my trip to my hometown also (which I did last weekend)! But now I should be able to get back on track. ~

So, for our monthly meetup in February we had a small Tea Party at Catherine's place. ~ We also decided to do a small Valentine's gift exchange for the occasion too. :3

Here was my outfit for the meetup! ~

~ Outfit from February 22nd! ~

Headbow; Kidsyoyo
Blouse; Oo Jia
Jumperskirt; Oo Jia
Socks; Bodyline
Bag; Loris
Wristcuffs; Princess Pearl Designs
Accessories; Chocomint, Paradise Rose & Offbrand

I decided to wear one my favourite colour scheme to fit the Valentine's theme; Pink and red! ^^; So I wore my Milky Berry jumperskirt coordinated with red and accessories themed around strawberries and flowers. ~ I wanted something a bit more on the elegant side as it was a tea party. :3

Here was everyone's outfits! :3 (Minus Angélique since she arrived a bit later and I totally forgot to take her outfit picture... ^^'')

Sandrine in her new flowery mint dress. :3 I loved how she pulled out the cream accents on her dress with her headbow. ^^;

Jenn was super elegant as usual, such a cute hairstyle. :3

I thought that Catherine was lovely in her coordinate. ^^; I like the way she balanced out the colours. ~

Érika was wonderful in her red skirt, I think it suit her so well and she coordinated it nicely with her bunny broach and ears. :3

And finally, me. ^^;

The Tea Party Catherine hosted was so nice! ~ We had a chocolate fondue feast and we had so many things to dip in chocolate!! *w*

The table setup, yummy! ~

After our meal/feast we exchanged our Valentine's gifts! :3 I picked up Catherine and I offered her a handmade watercolour card, a poem and some Japanese treats!

Jenn picked me and here was my gift from her! ~ Lots of yummy chocolate, a lovely card and a rose made of wood so it will never fade. :3 I was so happy and thankful! ^^;

We also played some games, like a Lolita version of "Brin de Jasette" which is a boardgame where you ask questions and everyone have to answer. ~ Catherine and I made a Lolita version of it and it was so fun to chat and know more about everyone's view of Lolita fashion and lifestyle. :3

Overall I had a really great time with my Lolita community this month. :3 Time goes by so fast when you are surrounded by people that you like! ~

Until next time my very sparkly jade gems, take care. :3
