Why I wear Lolita?

Hello my sweet blueberry muffins! ~

Today I wanted to write something a little more inspirational on my blog. So I decided to pick up a subject randomly (with a random number generator and all) from the 52 weeks of Lolita challenge that I started a little while ago.

And the subject is...

Why I wear Lolita?

This is a question that could either be answered super simply, or that I could write for hours and hours about... I'll try to keep my answer somewhere in the middle. :3

I wear Lolita fashion because it helps me feel better about myself, it helps me feel confident and the fashion completely changed the way I would see myself. Before I discovered Lolita, I felt like I was a mistake... That my whole life has no purpose, that I was ment to feel fat, ugly and sad all the time. When I started to wear Lolita fashion and I became interested in the lifestyle, my whole perception of life changed. For once I felt like my life was precious, I felt confident about myself, I felt beautiful (inside and out) and it was the most wonderful feeling of all. I never wanted to lose the sight of these wonderful emotions and positivity.

Lolita fashion and lifestyle represents my ideal of what beauty and perfection is. Everything about Lolita is what I strive to be. It helped me to have my own little passion in life, something I want to live for, a reason to get up in the morning, a reason to never give up, no matter how hard life can be. Since I started wearing the fashion, I felt like I was a magical being from now on; a messager of happiness and hope, someone that could save the precious dreams of eternal beauty, childhood memories and reminiscence of an era that only exist in fairytales. I now had the purpose of creating beauty and happiness, not only in my heart but in the hearts of the people I encounter on my journey.

Nowadays, I wear Lolita because it's my armor to face the outside world. It's what makes me feel powerful and proud to (still) be alive. It's a reminder for me to seek the best in every day, to keep on smiling and to give all my heart in everything I do. For me, it's a way of life and a way of thinking. Lolita fashion is something I would never give up because of what it have done to me; I feel like I need to honour the fashion until my own fairytale end.

I hope it can inspire you on your own lifestyle my little sweet puppies. ~

Hello my sweet sugary puddings! ~

It's time for an outfit post! :3 I was away from home last weekend so I didn't had time to post one last week. ;w; But it's a better thing since I have more to post today, yay! ^w^

Skirt; Dream of Lolita
Socks; Bodyline
Bag; Loris
Accessories; Sugar Raindrops & Rococo Soul

It's the first time I took an outfit picture with my Fantastic Dolly skirt! I really like it, it's so comfortable and I think the black touches in the print give it a nice elegant feeling. :3 I coordinated it with matching lilac accessories; a simple heart necklace and a simple bow ring to make the elegance of the skirt stand out. ^w^ I also chose a pink blouse and pink socks to match nicely with the print accents. ~

I've worn this simple outfit to drive to my hometown. :3

Headbow; Oo Jia
Dress; Oo Jia

I really like to coordinate this one piece dress with all lilac accessories. :3 Since the socks I chose had also a little touch of pink, I decided to wear a matching pink and lilac bracelet to complete the outfit nicely. ~ This dress is suuuuuper comfy to travel, I really like it. ^w^

One of the last times I'll get to wear this wintery dress before the warmer months! I decided to pair it with a pink long sleeved blouse, a pink bag and pink berry socks to match the pink on the print. :3 I chose a bunny necklace, bunny ring and bunny broach to match the theme of the print too! ^w^ Also, I think mocomoco yarn accessories are the best thing to wear with wintery prints, so cosy! <3

I'm back to pink! ^w^

Hello my little sweet strawberry milkshakes!

I just wanted to make a little quick post today to announce that I re-dyed my hair last weekend!

Here is the "before" picture, the morning I went to my hairdresser. ~

And here is the "after" picture! ^w^

I decided to go back to bright pink hair! :3 I used Elumen again which I ask my hairdresser to dilute a little so it fades to a beautiful pastel cupcake pink. ~

I also asked my hairdresser to cut about 7-8 inches to my length... As my hair was very damaged (especially at the ends, they were so thin!) and they didn't look that good at my previous length anymore... ;w; It feels a little bit weird to have my hair this short again, but now they feel so much stronger and thicker! ~

Also, I have another daily outfits post in the making for this weekend, so look forward to that! :3

Until next time my little pink bunnies, don't forget to take care of your hair, spoil yourself with some coconut oil mask! ^w^

Anime Review! ~ Fresh Precure!

Hello my sweet fuzzy peaches!

I recently finished an anime I was watching which was Fresh Precure! Anime is a very big part of my lifestyle and it's very dear to me, so I decided I would do anime reviews for (most of) the animes that I watch now! :3

I warn you that might be some small spoilers but I will try to avoid them as much as possible!

Fresh Precure Review!

First, I want to say that I've watched the 5 other seasons of the Precure series that were released before that because I try to watch them in the order that they were released!

Story

The storyline premise is pretty close to any other Precure series: Tarte (the cute ferret fairy) needs to find the Precure warriors to get them to fight against Labyrinth which is the "bad guys" organisation that needs to fill the sorrow gauge out of the sadness of people. Many adventures happens from here! Usually there is a lot of filler episode in the Precure series (most of them are around 50 episodes so it's understandable) but it didn't feel that way in the Fresh Precure series at all! Most of the episodes have a very specific purpose and goal, no episode is there as filler (which is something I was very very pleased about after watching Yes! Pretty Cure 5 Go Go!).

Art

The quality of the art is veeery different from the previous Precure series I've watched so far! You can tell that they changed the animation and the art style from the previous series which was something that shocked me as first because I was so used to the previous art style. I grew to like it and find it quite pretty and acceptable now. ~ I especially liked their attacks scene too! Also, the ending dance is in 3D kind of animation and I found it very impressive and nice. :3

Sound

I thought that the voices suited the characters a lot, especially the Precures and Tarte, their voice suited their personality and none of them seemed annoying to me. ^^'' The opening, however... Is terrible. XD; I usually really like the bubbly style of Precure openings and endings... But this time I think it was toooo high pitched and kinda off key? Especially the second version of the opening... It would literally give me an headache... ;w; The ending however is much more pleasant and they used it sometimes during the show as background music for some of their dances which is something I really liked. :3

Characters

I liked that the characters were very relatable and genuine. ~ There is quite a lot of character developpement considering this is an anime for a younger audience. Most of the episodes that put an emphasis on character developpement were well put together and some of them even made me cry! ^^'' I also liked that each of the villains were very well developed too! They weren't like stereotypical villains with very basic or regular "villain" personalities.

Enjoyment

I personally really liked Fresh Precure! From the characters (especially the villains) to the development of the story! It's one of the best Precure series I've watched so far, probably the best one, considering the absence of filler episodes and the awesome plot twists in the story. ^w^

Overall I gave Fresh Precure a rating of 8 out of 10!

Until next time my little magical beings! ~ Don't forget to be strong and never give up! :3

Restaurant Review ~ Rouge Burger Bar!

Hello my little strawberry mashmallows. ~

Today I decided to write a small review for one of my favourite burger joints in Saguenay, the Rouge Burger Bar! :3 The Prince and I go to this place quite often when we want to eat good burgers in a nice, casual restaurant. ^^

The Rouge Burger Bar is located downtown, in the basement of an hotel. However, we try to go during late dinner times on not so busy days so we always get to have a quiet place to sit, chat and have a great time! There's usually not much clients during these hours (usually 3-4 other tables) which is something I prefer when going out, I don't like crowded places. ^w^'' If you are like me, I really recommend going at the beginning of the week, after 7PM. ~

The ambiance if kind of what you would expect for this type of place: Ambiant warm lighting, wood tables with stools and cosy benches with cushions, screens with sports channels on it and general pop music. ~ At first the ambiance made me uncomfortable... It's not the kind of place I usually go to! But since the clients (at least, when I went there) were surprisingly calm and quiet for this kind of place it didn't bother me that much.

But the most important part of what makes this restaurant one of my favourites in Saguenay: The food, especially the burgers! They are known for their entirely customizable burgers. You can literally chose whatever you want: the patty, the cheese, the sauces, the toppings etc... They use mostly local ingredients which are great quality, they make their own mayo, sauces, fries and they smoke their own bacon! (Which the Prince like a lot. XD)

The Prince and I went to eat out there earlier this week, so I took the opportunity to take pictures of what I ordered and to review my delicious dinner for my blog. XD;

First: The Cocktail!

I got a raspberry mojito!

I don't usually drink that much but I like cocktails once in a while. ^w^'' It tasted amazing! It's super sweet but a little bit sour and I couldn't taste the alcool at all, they make it kinda light which is something I like. :3 They serve it in this mason jar which matches nicely with the ambiance of the bar I think. ^^

The entrée!

I got some fried calamari with an aioli dip. ~

Whenever it is available in any restaurant, I usually have fried calamari as en entrée. ^^'' But these ones are simply heavenly! The little chili flakes fall on them as you press the lemon to season them and they give it a little spicy kick, but not too much! I think the fresh aioli sauce match perfectly with the crispy texture of the fried calamari. :3 I can't get enough of them. *v*

The main course!

I had a custom burger with: A veggie patty, local aged cheddar cheese, lemon-tarragon mayo, strong beer mustard, grilled bell peppers and roasted mushrooms. They serve the burger with tomato and lettuce with a side of fries. I also took an extra dried tomato mayo for my fries. ^w^

This is one of my favourite burger combination I tried so far. :3 Their veggie patty is the most delicious veggie patty I had at any restaurant, hands down! I don't really know what they put in it, but they dip the patty in a light crispy batter than they fry it. *o* (It may sound a little bit gross and unhealthy... But when you want to eat a burger that is this big you don't really care about eating healthy to be honest. XD; That's mainly why I chose veggies to add in mine, it adds a little freshness to it along with the lettuce and the tomato. :3) Also, I am a fan of strong mustard, and their beer mustard is the most flavorful one I ever had! I really strongly recommend it if you love mustard! Their homemade fries are one of my favourite restaurant fries too! I also recommend that you pay extra for a homemade mayo too, they are too yummy to live without it. XD;

Finally: The dessert!

I had a chocolate brownie. :3

No dinner is complete without a bit of sugar! ^w^ I like that they serve their dessert in little mason jar just like my cocktail, I think it's a nice touch. :3 My brownie is the only thing I didn't like quite as much as the other things. ;w; I think that it was a little bit dry... I would have a added a little more chocolate sauce to it. :3 But other than that I liked it, it was just sweet enough and it was perfect to end up my meal. ~

Until next time my little heart shaped brownies! ~ Don't forget that it's okay to spoil ourselves with a little dinner out once in a while, you deserve it! ^w^

Daily Outfits! ~ February 16th to February 26th!

Hello my sweet little sugary cupcakes! ~

Tonight I decided to make my very first outfit post since I restarted blogging! ^w^

I'll usually try to post once every week (probably on Sundays) with the outfits I've worn for special occasions or events during that week, new coordinations or simply outfits I'm particularly proud of. ^_^

Since I've took my first outfit picture for my blog a little more than one week ago, this post one will include outfits from the last two weeks! But I'll try to make it a weekly thing, don't worry! ^^''

I've always liked to coordinate this skirt with white and small touches of pink, I think it makes the print pop-out a lot. ^w^ I've decided to wear lilac, pink and white bracelets to match with my necklace and my socks. Also, I've worn my candy socks and ice cream necklace to keep the candy/sweets theme through the outfit. ~

I've decided to wear blue candy socks with it, I know it's not the perfect matching shade of blue but since I was going to wear my boots all night anyway I didn't really mind. Lush Order!

Hello sweeties! ^w^

Today I decided to share my Lush order that I just received this afternoon! ~

I'll try to review each product's smell as much as possible as I won't do try outs or videos for the sake of the review only. XD; Since I usually save my Lush products for special occasions, this bunch of bath products should last me at least 3 months... Which would be in my opinion a little too late to make a blog post on it. ^^''

Here was my package as I received it! It was very rainy and humid outside today and the postman left it on my porch in the melting snow... I wasn't super happy about it but the products inside were fine. ~w~''

Here is everything I ordered! I got four bath bombs, two luxury bath oils and two bubble bars. ~

I wanted to try new products from their year-round collection because I wanted to discover new favourites. :3

Small Bath Bombs

I got Butterball and Pink!

Butterball: It have a lovely creamy vanilla smell. :3 I really love sweet and vanilla scented products so I really wanted to try this one. ^w^ I believe the colours won't be as exciting in the bath as their bigger bath bombs but since it's one of their smaller ones I don't really mind.

Pink: This one is one of my all time favourite bath bombs from Lush! It smells like candy, but not too sickenly sweet! I love that it turns the bath into a lovely colour, and there's some cute heart shaped confetti inside. For around 5 dollars, it's one of their most impressive bath bombs for the price. ^w^

Bigger Bath Bombs

I got Blackberry and Rose Bombshell!

Blackberry: It smells a lot stronger than what I expected! It have a musky scent of strong berries but I think it also smells a little flowery? I usually love fruity smells to bits so I can't wait to try it!

Rose Bombshell: This one is from their Valentine's Day collection! I couldn't resist! ^w^'' I usually love flowery scents form Lush because I think that even if it's a flowery scent, it always end up smelling a little sweet too? XD; This one doesn't make an exception. ~ It smells a lot like roses, but I think it have a little sweet touch to it too!

Luxury Bath Oils

I got Razzle Dazzle and MMMelting Marshmallow Moment!

Razzle Dazzle: It smells like fruity, tangy raspberries! Raspberries are one of my favourite type of berry so I had to get this bath oil. ~ Also, these are ridiculously cheap (3,50$) and this one is bigger than I thought!

MMMelting Marshmallow Moment: It's the first bath oil I ever tried. ^w^ I smells very sweet, soft and creamy, just like a marshmallow. ~ Also, if I remember correctly they have a bunch of glitters in it! I really like Lush bath oils because sometimes their bath bombs can be a liiiitle bit drying for my overly dry skin, so these would be perfect for the end of winter, as I am a very dried little blob that still want to enjoy baths. XD;

Bubble Bars

I got Milky Bath and Dreamy Candy!

Milky Bath: I wanted to try this one for so long! I really like the little milk bottle shape, it's so cute! ^w^ It smells very faintly sweet and creamy. ~ The description says that it's super hydrating for the skin, so I can't wait to try it out!

Dreamy Candy: The last but not least, Dreamy Candy, my favourite bubble bar ever! It turns your bath pink, it smells like candy and I can use it at least 2 times! For around 7$ it's a must have it you are a sweet & pink lover like me! ^w^

I also got a freebie: Coalface!

I believe it's one of their exfoliating facial cleansers? Yay! I can't wait to try it! I haven't tried their facial cleansers before so it will be a first time for me! ~ It smells like strong black liquorice, which is a smell I like. XD; It also have a teeny tiny sweet smell to it which makes it more exciting to try, at least for me! ^w^

Overall I am really happy with my order! I can't wait to try everything I bought! :3

Until next time, take care my little cuties and don't forget to do plenty of self-care and self-love to go through the last bits of wintertime. ~
