Saguenay's Lolita Meeting! ~ March 2018!

Hello my sparkly purple jewels! :3

Last weekend, I had a small casual meetup with my local Lolita community! ^w^ For this month, I decided to plan something a bit more casual for our monthly meetup. Since a lot of us were planning to go to Nadeshicon during the beginning of April, I thought it would be nice to have a casual crafting/sewing meetup before the convention so we could all work on our crafting projects together! ~

Here was my outfit for the event. ^w^

~ Outfit from March 24th! ~

Headbow; Momo & Jia
Cutsew; Rose Melody
Skirt; Dream of Lolita
Socks; Anna House
Bag; Loris
Accessories; Sugar Raindrops, Rococo Soul & Handmade

I wore something super comfy and casual with one of my newer skirts, the Fantastic Dolly in lilac, that I coordinated with a simple white cutsew and some touches of pink. ~ I chose to keep kind of a more simple theme for the accessories also. :3

Since it was a more casual meetup, I didn't really took any outfit pictures for anyone other than myself. ^w^'' Most of us were dressed more casually anyway. ~

We had some tea in lovely flowery teacups. :3 There is nothing better than sipping on a yummy cup of tea while crafting. ~

I had a couple of pairs of socks to repair. ~

It was so nice to just work on our projects together while chatting and catching up also! :3 We also all agreed that we are way more productive when we get together like this! ^w^

I had such a nice, cosy and relaxing time with our community this month. ~

Since there will be the Nadeshicon in April and there will be a Lolita meetup there, I decided to not host another local Lolita meetup for next month since a lot of us would attend the Lolita meetup during Nadeshicon anyway. ~ (It also give me a bit of a break too. XD;) For our next meetup in May we plan to go on a little road trip adventure and to explore a nearby city! ^w^ I can't wait to plan it! ~

Until next time my sweet chocolate cookies! :3

Daily Outfits! ~ March 16th to March 23th!

Hello my sweet mini strawberry pies! :3

I know, it has been a while since I posted on my blog but I was on a huge inspiration slump lately... Both in my lifestyle and fashion. ^w^'' But now I'm feeling a little bit better so I'm back today with a little outfit post! ~

I'm still off work since the last couple of weeks so I've been mostly staying at home and I like to dress up more casually on those days, but I still managed to snap a couple of outfits from when I was going out these last two weeks! ^w^

~ Outfit from March 16th! ~

An outfit I wore to go to the anime club! ~

Headbow; Dream of Lolita

Jumperskirt; Dream of Lolita
Socks; Bodyline

I was feeling like wearing my hair in braids on that day so I went with a Country Lolita themed outfit in pink and red! I really like wearing my red blouse with that jumperskirt, it goes really well with the strawberry themed print and I think it complements the shade of pink perfectly too! ^w^

~ Outfit from March 17th! ~

An outfit I wore to run some errands at the mall and to play videogames in the evening at my friend's Sophie's place! ^w^

Headbow; Oo Jia
Blouse; Oo Jia
Jumperskirt; Oo Jia
Socks; Bodyline

I knew I wanted to dress super OTT to cheer me up and give me confidence on that day so I wore my pink Sugary Carnival coordinated with lilac, yarn and glittery plastic accessories themed around stars and candy! ^w^

Lolita Blog Carnival! ~ What Has Become A Staple Piece In Your Wardrobe And Why?

Hello my pretty flowery teacups! :3

I decided to join another Lolita Blog Carnival today! ^w^ This subject was...

What Has Become A Staple Piece In Your Wardrobe And Why?

After a long thought process, I decided to choose my pink printed skirt from Dollscrops!

Here is is, in all it's glory! XD;

This skirt is probably one of the main pieces in my wardrobe that I have worn the most. It was one of the first Lolita skirts I bought on the Qutie Land website back in the beginning of 2010! (I can't believe I've been wearing that skirt regularly for 8 years and it haven't fallen appart yet! ^w^'')

The lace is still nice and the print is still very crisp and bright after being washed a LOT of times. ~

I think it's one of my most comfortable skirts so that's why I love wearing it so much. I also think it's really flattering on me! It's just the right length, it's not too big or too small, it have just the right amount of gathering at the waist so the print doesn't look weird with a regular petticoat. ~

I also really like how I can dress it up or dress it down. It have a lot of colours, themes and details so I can coordinate it in a lot of different ways. Whenever I want to dress casual, but still colourful this is my go-to skirt! ^w^

I really love the little details on the print. ~

I am really glad I own that skirt since I've been really loving it for all those years and I hope I can continue to wear it and appreciate it for 8 more years to come! :3

Please take a look at the other bloggers that participated in this week's Lolita Blog Carnival and show them some love! ^w^

Until next time my cute pink kitten paws! :3

Anime Review! ~ Heartcatch Precure!

Hello my cute purple fluffy bears! ~

I'm back again with another anime review! ^w^ (Since I am off work these days I seized the opportunity to watch tons of anime!)

Today I'll review the anime Heartcatch Precure! ~ As usual I'll try to avoid spoilers as much as I can!

Heartcatch Precure

Heartcatch Precure is the 7th season of the Precure franchise series. It originally aired in 2010-2011. For comparison, I've only watched the previous Precure series that aired before this one because I like to watch them in order, I haven't watched the most recent ones! There is 49 episodes to this season and one movie!

Story

Each Precure series have a particular theme and the theme of this series is flowers! Basically, the cures needs to restore the "Heart Flowers" of the people that have been attacked by the Desert Apostles, who want to make the world into a desert where nothing would bloom. By saving people, the cures gather their heart seeds which will help to restore the great heart tree. I thought that the elements and how they were portrayed in the story were deeper than usual. Compared to the previous series, the cures have a legitimate emotion-drived reason to save the people that were being attacked. It adds a lot to the plot of the story in my opinion.

Art

The art is again a bit different from the previous series which was Fresh Precure. The differences isn't notable and it didn't bother me. The animation is beautiful and filled with colourful and sparkly details! The cures transformations and attacks were my favourite parts of the animation since they were very well detailed and animated.

Sound

The sound to me was correct, there wasn't any details that bothered me or did stand out too much. The voices really suit the characters and are different and personalized enough which is always something I like. The music was particularly fitting during the big final fights at the end, which enhanced the scenes perfectly.

Characters

The main characters are very well developed in this series! There is quite a bit of episodes that covers entirely the characters development which is always something that makes me like any series even more! Also, the way they develop characters through the story isn't common and it goes pretty deep for a kids show. I also always like when the villains are well developed. (Which is something that impressed me from Fresh Precure) I think they could have worked on the villains a bit more in this area but overall it was still well done.

Enjoyment

I really enjoyed watching Heartcartch Precure! The deeper and darker story development really hooked me to the series! There is almost no filler episodes except for a few ones in the first half of the series but that didn't bother me too much. The second half of the series is filled with plot focused episodes and character development episodes, which compensate in my opinion. ^w^ It's probably one of my favourite Precure series so far!

Overall, I give Heartcatch Precure a rating of 9 out of 10!

I hope you enjoyed my little review! ^w^ I am currently watching longer anime series lately so I don't know if I'll be able to write another anime review soon though... ^w^''

Until next time my sweetest heart shaped pink shortbread cookies! :3
