Saguenay's Lolita Meeting! ~ Winter Loliday 2019!

Hello my precious fuzzy kittens! :3

I'm back on my blog today with my review from our winter Loliday meetup that was last weekend! ^w^ I had been a little while since I was able to host a meetup for my community so I was a little nervous but also pretty excited, hehe! ~

For our meetup this time we went to have tea at la Théière à l'Envers tea house, we went shopping downtown and we went to eat dinner at Shogun Sushi! ^w^/

Here was my outfit for the meetup! ~

I decided to wear my Candyland jumperskirt which is one of my newest pieces in my closet and I haven't worn it yet to one of our meetups! ^w^ I coordinated it with white since I know I was going to have my white winter boots on. ~ I also tried to keep a hearts, rainbows and clouds/fluffy theme with the accessories! :3 I felt really pretty and confident with my outfit! ~

The Prince joined me again for the meetup and we took a couple of pictures before heading out for tea! ^^;

It's so rare that the Prince wear his striped white shirt and I thought he looked very elegant! :3

The Théière à l'Envers tea house was jam packed when we arrived! We got the only 4 seat table that was left and we ordered our little lunch and of course, our teas. ~

The Prince and I had a veggie pâté plate (which is deeeeeelicious!) and for tea I chose the Creamy Earl Grey that I shared with Mason. :3

The Prince tried authentic matcha tea for the first time too! ^^;

And for dessert we shared a squash and pumpkin spice cake and gingerbread cookies. :3

After our meal, the place emptied a little bit and we could take our outfit pictures in a little corner of the tea house. ~

Catherine's outfit! ~ I loved her mix of traditional Canadian clothes with Lolita fashion. ^^;

Mason's outfit! ~ I liked the little touches of red on their outfit, so elegant! :3

And finally, me! XD; It's rare that I truly like pictures of me that other people take but this time I liked it so much that I shared it on instagram, hihi! ^w^

Then we went exploring the city's Christmas market that was outside, right across the street! ~ It was slightly snowing and the ambiance was just so magical and nice. :3

We also had maple taffy, yum! ^w^ I haven't had some authentic one in years! ~

We also took a group picture with Santa! XD;

After our market tour we went to a book shop and a gaming shop down the street. ~

We also went thrifting and I found a cute Hello Kitty holiday plushie and a G3 My Little Pony (that I realized that I already had, well, I have twins now! XD).

We also stopped by a pet shop that was close by to look at the animals. :3

After our afternoon of shopping, we finally went to Shogun Sushi for our dinner! ~ Catherine's boyfriend joined us for the meal also! :3

I sadly didn't take a lot of pictures of the food while we were eating because I was very hungry and I would always eat my plate before I thought to take a picture of it, haha... XD; So enjoy my small plate of sashimi. :3

It was the first time that I tried Shogun Sushi which is an all you can eat restaurant but it's not a buffet; you order with an iPad and the food is freshly made and brought to your table! ~

My expectations weren't super high because the price was pretty low for an all you can eat sushi/Japanese food but I was pleasantly surprised! ^^; I tried lots of fishes I never had before like eel and octopus and their sushi and sashimi were super fresh and actually delicious! XD; Now I can't wait to go back again! ^w^/

I had such a nice day out with my frilly squad for International Lolita Day and it made me motivated to host more meetups for the community in the future! ^^; My little break of meetups was necessary but now I am looking forward hosting many meetups for my frillies next year! ~

Best of Daily Outfits! ~ November 2019! (+ Life Update!)

Hello my sparkly rainbow tinsels! :3

It's been so long since I made a post here on my blog and I really missed it! ;o; The month of November was definitely a weird month for me and I spent a lot of time by myself doing lots of self-care... But also a bunch of self-reflexion and reevaluation of my limits and goals in life. ~

During the beginning of the month I decided to try a new posting format for my outfits and I was really enjoying the creative liberty of not having to post every single daily outfit on here all the time. But as the month went by, I started to miss the routine I established on here and in my daily life in general... I pretty much put my blogging on hold around the middle of the month because I just felt so uninspired and nothing was motivating me and pushing me to be creative again... ;w;

So I came to the realization that I prefer an imperfect but creative life than one that is more "curated" but lacking in genuine bursts of inspiration. No life is perfect, no art is perfect and mine is not an exception to that... But I still want to put it on my blog here, not only for others, but for my own pleasure and enjoyment! :3

Now, after the little life update part, let's get into my best of outfits from last month! ^w^ I have 7 of them and as usual they were worn to work unless stated otherwise! ~

I always love to wear my lilac Sugary Carnival with white and pink! :3 I think that colour scheme really makes the print pop out more! ^w^ This time, I chose accessories themed around hearts, polka dots and tulle for a lovely and elegant look. ~

A more casual outfit for that day, but I really loved how my coordinate turned out! ^w^ I sometimes coordinate that skirt with white and touches of pink, but I tried to make it a little more obvious and I tried something new with my accessories; I chose socks with bright pink in them and a pink and blue necklace. :3 It was a fun experiment! I also really loved how I did my makeup on that day, the colour scheme was inspired by the snow! ~

I always love to wear that printed pink skirt with blue, it goes so well with the busy colourful print! ~ I chose socks with candies on them since they matched the colour scheme perfectly, same for the pink and blue wristcuffs! :3

I tried something very experimental for me on that day. XD; I've always wanted to coordinate my Star Night Theatre jumperskirt with black since it's one of my only prints with black in it... So I tried to make a balanced outfit with my old Anna House white and black blouse along with a black neckbow and socks... XD; The outfit look very "black heavy" at the bottom, but it was much more balanced once I had my white winter boots on, I swear. ^w^'' I loved to expriment with that colour scheme and I'm already planning another outfit with black in it with that print in the future! :3

The theme for their Holiday party was Circus/Carnival and I hesitated for a while on which outfit I was going to wear (I debated between my Star Night Theatre and this one) and I decided to wear my pink Sugary Carnival in the end! :3 It was a safer bet for me and I could be more creative with my colour scheme I think. ^w^ I coordinated it with blue and accessories themed around ponies, stars and sweets! ~

I decided to wear an unusual colour scheme in the middle of my work week to make me feel motivated. XD; I wore my red shoes from Bodyline with that outfit when I was at work but they were already packed. ^w^'' I chose simple accessories themed around bows and pearls for an elegant look. ~

I was inspired by the Pokémon I chose for my gym leader giveaway on that day; Alolan Vulpix! ^w^ So I wore a cosy wintery outfit in blue and white. :3 I chose accessories themed around bunnies to match the print also. ~ I really liked how I did my makeup and styled my hair on that day, I felt very confident and happy! ^w^

So that was my favourites/best of outfits from last month! ~ As I said earlier, I don't think that this posting format is working for me... I realized that I still want to share most of my daily outfits on here and I'll switch back to my old posting style from now on! :3
