52 Weeks of Lolita! ~ What is the story behind your discovery of Lolita fashion?

 Hello my little Shortcakes! ^w^

Today I'm back on my blog with another prompt from the 52 weeks of Lolita challenge! ~ The subject for this week si really interesting to me and I really love sharing about it from time to time (even if I did talk about it in this blog in the past!).

This time, the subject is...

What is the story behind your discovery of Lolita fashion?

So I discovered Lolita fashion in the beginning of the year 2009!

Back in the days, I used to own a Skyblog (that definitely shows my age here! XD) and I would be a bit familiar with Harajuku/Japanese fashion because I was following all kinds of alternative people.

I was also a emo/scene back in the days; I was pretty much was you would call a "lifestyle emo" from 2005 to 2008. XD; Of course, because I was into such darker styles I was also interested in Gothic, Punk and Visual-Kei fashion too!

In the beginning of 2009 I kinda wanted to change my style to a more... Decora/Fruits vibe because I was getting tired of darker styles. I began to research a lot more about Harajuku fashion and Japanese styles! ~

During that time, I was also doing some research on Victorian and Romantic Gothic fashion because I wanted to wear something along those lines for my prom! ^w^

This is where I came across Gothic Lolita and Mana-sama! :3

I didn't clue into the fact that Lolita fashion, Fruits and Decora were all Harajuku fashions because the vibes were SO different to me! And that's how I also learned about all the other Lolita substyles like Sweet Lolita and Classic Lolita! ~

So yeah, that would be how I discovered Lolita fashion! ^w^

And that would be the timeline;

November 2008; Learned about Harajuku Fashion.

Beginning of 2009; Changed my style to Decora/Fruits/Harajuku inspired. XD;

March 2009; Discovered Gothic Lolita.

May 2009; Discovered that there is other Lolita styles other than Gothic XD;

June 2009; My "first Lolita outfit" aka my prom outfit aka my ita phase... >w<

August 2009; Decided to quit wearing fashion that is not Decora/Lolita. I also discovered about the Lolita lifestyle! And also the month I chose to be my "Lolita Birthday"! ^w^

September 2009; I discover Lolita brands and Lolita-specific shops!

October 2009; I get bloomers and an actual petticoat! XD; Also the month I started to wear exclusively Lolita everyday and I started to call myself a lifestyle Lolita! :3

And yes, I totally had to go back and look at the dates on my old Lolita blog... XD;

I can't believe it was more than 12 years ago, it honestly feels like it was last year! ;w; My love for Lolita fashion haven't gone away at all since the day I wore my first outfit! ~ It's still my reason to get up in the morning and to strive to be the best version of myself everyday! ^w^

And you, how did you discover Lolita fashion? :3 Tell me about it in the comments! ~

Until next time my little Shortcakes, stay safe and take care! <3

52 Weeks of Lolita! ~ What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever incorporated into a coord, or the weirdest material you’ve ever worn?

Hello my little Shortcakes! ~

Today I'm blogging again with a prompt from the 52 Weeks of Lolita! ^w^ This time, the subject is...

What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever incorporated into a coord, or the weirdest material you’ve ever worn?

Firstly, if you've seen one of my last 52 Weeks of Lolita post about the Lolita "rules", you already know that I am not someone that stray out of my way with my Lolita outfits! ^w^'' I much more prefer playing with colour scheme and the theme of my accessories rather than coming up with more experimental coords...

BUT I did wear quite a few "out there" accessories with my coords, especially back when I started the fashion and I wanted to be a OTT Sweet Princess! XD; I'm going to try and dig them for this blog post... (This should be very interesting and/or embarrassing, we will see! XD)

One of the first exemples that came to my mind was when I wore actual gift wrapping ribbon in my hair for my birthday dinner in 2011? XD; It definitely could have been worse... But I never did it again... ^w^'' It was kinda cute though?

I also remember this "Cat Lady" coord I did with my Vanilla-chan OP where I wore a full on wool scarf, inside the house, for fun? XD; I genuinely don't know why I liked wool scarves so much back in the days? ^w^'' This was back in 2013! ~

Other than that, except wearing themed animal ears for fun I don't think I ever wore something that was considered weird for a Lolita coord! ^w^''

That make me think that I honestly wish I was more adventurous with my coords! ~ I have a couple of accessories that I own but I haven't incorporated into a coord yet just because I don't know how to make it work... ;w; Sometimes, you really gotta let the "rules" stay at the door and have fun, I think! :3 I want to try that in the future for sure! ^w^

Do you have something "weird" that you incorporated into your daily outfits? Let me know in the comments! ~

Until next time my little Shortcakes, stay safe and take care! <3

52 Weeks of Lolita! ~ How strict are you in applying the rules to yourself? To others?

Hello my little Shortcakes! ^w^

Today, I'm back on my blog again with another prompt from the 52 Weeks of Lolita challenge! ~ This time, the subject is...

How strict are you in applying the rules to yourself? To others?

Honestly, this subject is very interesting for me because I've been into Lolita fashion for almost 12 years now and sometimes the longer people are into the fashion, the more flexible they are with "The Rules"! Often they will try to be much more experimental with the fashion; Mixing "normie" elements with their outfits or trying to mix different styles with Lolita fashion! And most of the time, they are doing it so nicely and beautifully, I am admiring them so much for that! ~

But, for me personally I really love some kind of "cookie cutter" coordinates! ^w^'' I genuinely love when everything matches perfectly; the colours, the theme and the textures! I am not someone that does experiment with Lolita fashion that much, at least not as much as other more experienced Lolitas does!

So overall I think that for me I really like to stick to the rules when it comes to Lolita fashion! The only "Rule" I've been trying to bypass lately have been animal ears with Lolita fashion, simply because I like it so much! :3 Whenever I see a themed coordinate, I feel like it's been something that is much more acceptable lately! ^w^

Now, for others... I've always been someone that is more into the "let people do whatever they want" mindset! XD; But, of course if someone is trying to put together a proper Lolita outfit, I think it's better if they stick to the "Rules" and try to do at least a handful or proper outfits before they go into the experimenting route! Especially if their goal is to be a proper Lolita, that is! :3

But other than that, I really like seeing more experimental coordinates from other people! ~ I love seeing the creativity of other people with their outfits in the fashion and it's something I really admire a lot, even if it's not something I would do myself! ^w^

And you; how strict are you with the Lolita rules? :3 Tell me about it in the comments! ~

Until next time my little Shortcakes, please stay safe and take care! <3

52 Weeks of Lolita! ~ What are the top 10 things you love most about Lolita?

Hello my little shortcakes! :3

I'm back on my blog today with another prompt from the 52 Lolita Challenge! ^w^ The one from this week is very inspiring to me and I think it can also help me bring a little bit more gratitude into my life which is always important! ~

What are the top 10 things you love most about Lolita?

I'm going to list the 10 first that come to my mind, in no particular order! :3

1. ~ How it makes me feel! <3

I have never encountered something else in my life that made me feel as confident and happy as Lolita! It bring me so much joy and makes me feel so good about myself. ;w; It's hard to describe how powerful it is, it's like I am my own living dream and I am going to live forever for that! ^w^

2. ~ It gives me a reason to get up in the morning and to never give up no matter what!

Both clothing-wise and lifestyle-wise! Back when I was feeling at my worst I was holding on just so I could wear my pretty frilly clothes on that day. Being a lifestyle Lolita gives me a sense of purpose and a goal in life! :3

3. ~ The friendships I made along the way!

I wanted to put "the community" at first, but it really is all the friendships I made because of my passion, not only with other Lolitas but also with people that are into Japanese culture and geeky stuff! ^w^

4. ~ The lifestyle! <3

How could this not be the first one on the list? XD; The Lolita lifestyle is really one of things that matter most to me in life. It is so aligned with how I want to be as a person and it's one of the things that mainly shaped who I am today and I am very, very grateful for that!

5. ~ The knowledge I acquired!

Not only about how to coordinate the clothes but knowledge about everything that is related to the lifestyle! How to throw together a nice Tea Party, how to have successful social media to reach people, knowledge about hairstyles, makeup, where to shop, etc...! ^w^

6. ~ Lolita meetups! ^w^

I loooove hosting meetups for my local community! ;w; It makes me feel so proud and happy! If you would have told Tomoyo from a decade ago that she would have started her own little Lolita community here in Saguenay and that she was going to host meetups with some beautiful Lolitas and Oujis I would never have believed her! XD; It's one of the thing I am the most proud of in life, I think! ~

7. ~ How the clothes fit on my body!

I was always one that was very insecure about not only my body size but the shape of it. I am kind of an inverted triangle according to my measurements and that used to make me so self-conscious as a teenager... ^w^'' But I think that's why I love the fashion so much! With the poof of the petticoat and how the dresses and skirts fit to my body, it gave my body the shape that I love! :3 I also don't feel as self-conscious about my size anymore because I feel like the clothes really suit me! ^w^

8. ~ How you have to think about every little detail in an outfit!

I've always been someone that love the details about every little thing in life in general! XD; But with Lolita fashion, I love who you have to think about everything; the colours, the placement of the accessories, the themes, the textures, your hairstyle, your makeup, your poses, even down to the perfume you chose to wear on that day! <3

9. ~ It is unique!

Every Lolita I know is unique in their own way! People can say all they want about the rules, but I love how each Lolita is able to make their outfit their own with their personal touches. Some of them have very signature looks, the way they coordinate accessories or do their makeup or style their hair! :3 It's so fun to see the personality of everyone through their outfits! <3

10. ~ How it saved my life...

Honestly, I say it all the time when it is brought up... Lolita fashion and especially the lifestyle have saved my life. It appeared on my path in a time when I needed the most and for that I will be eternally grateful! <3

I hope you had fun joining me in written form today! :3

If you are also a Lolita, what are the things you love the most about it? ^w^ Tell me about it in the comments! ~

52 Weeks of Lolita! ~ Do you have a fashion role-model? What do you admire most about them?

Hello my little shortcakes! ^w^

I'm back on my blog today with another 52 weeks of Lolita prompt! :3

Do you have a fashion role-model? What do you admire most about them?

I honestly don't have only ONE role model in the fashion! I also think the term role-model isn't really what I think about the people that inspire me... I mean, I have a lot of people that inspire me a lot for both my style and my lifestyle in Lolita, but they aren't role models per se, I think... ^w^'' The list of people that could go on and on... But I'm going to share a few in my post, in no particular order! ~

~ Takulu ~

Takulu was one of my first inspirations when I started to wear the fashion back in the days. I stumbled across her blog and I remember looking at her pictures and telling myself that is how I wanted to look someday as a perfect OTT Sweet Lolita! *v* <3

~ Sae ~

When I was looking at Takulu's blog, I noticed another Lolita which was her friend and also became one of my earlier inspiration for OTT Sweet style! :3

~ Damare Kozou ~

Another Japanese Lolita that really inspired me years ago! :3 Her fluffy and colourful style is really unique and inspired me so, so much for Fairy-Lolita! ~ I also love how she would style her dresses for winter; with cute mufflers, ear muffs and lots of (fake!) fur and knits, so cozy! <3

~ Shelby Cloud ~

One of the first Lolita Youtubers I ever watched! ^w^ I really liked her casual video style and how her style would always be so well put together! <3 She really have her own personal style and I like her a lot as an inspiration even today! :3

~ Princess Peachie ~

Another of the first Lolita Youtubers! <3 I love how she made Lolita fashion really look affordable and wearable on the daily with her offbrand/Bodyline collection back in the days! <3 She will also forever be one of my inspirations for OTT Sweet and Fairy-Lolita with her 80's inspired accessories!! :3

~ Princess Skye ~

I cannot go too long without rambling about how much I love her! XD; For a lot of us, she was our first lifestyle Lolita icon with her blog Princess Portal! <3 She really had a way of seeing Lolita and the lifestyle that is unique and I never saw someone else taking it so much to heart! <3 I really love and cherish her dearly and I will try to keep her memories alive for as long as I can! ^w^

~ Cadney ~

One of my favourite inspiration for her outfits! ~ Her coordinating skills is always on point and she is also a queen of OTT Sweet Lolita! ^w^

~ Tempest Paige ~

Another inspiration for her lovely coordinates! ^w^ <3 I love how she can pull of really casual Lolita beautifully and also make it wearable! She is one of my daily Lolita inspiration! ~

~ Kammie Pomeranian ~

She was one of my early Lolita fashion inspirations and she still is to this day! <3 She have such a unique and polished style and aesthetic! She really try to make Lolita fashion fit with her personal taste and for that I admire her a lot! <3

If you want you can also take a look at the Lolitas I follow on Instagram because all of them are incredibly inspiring and gorgeous! (And I'm going to list a couple of my faves here, I cannot resist! XD) There is not particular order, I admire them all dearly! ^w^

Again, there is many, many more that I could have added to this list but I tried to keep it to people that wear Lolita fashion or that mainly wear the fashion regularly! ~

Do you have role-model or inspiration for your fashion or in general? Which are they? ^w^ Tell me about it in the comments! ~

Until next time my little shortcakes, please stay safe and take care! <3

52 Weeks of Lolita ~ Does your style change with the seasons, or do you dress the same and try to bear the cold/heat?

Hello my little shortcakes! ^w^

I'm back today in written form with another prompt from the 52 weeks of Lolita challenge! ~ The prompt today is...

Does your style change with the seasons, or do you dress the same and try to bear the cold/heat?

I am going to be a little bit boring this time and I'm going to be honest with you; I don't really dress according to the weather that much? XD;

I am someone that isn't really bothered by extreme weather, either cold or hot so I don't really change my outfit plans depending on the temperature! ^^''

I may be more careful and chose to wear a skirt or an OP if it's a really hot day in the summer so I don't "double layer" with a blouse under my jumperskirt, but otherwise it doesn't change that much.

The thing that is fluctuating the most with the seasons for me is usually the styles and the prints that I am going to wear!

For exemple, I tend to not wear Country Lolita or my flowery/gingham prints in the winter just because I don't find them season appropriate that much?

Same thing for my Snowbunny jumperskirt that I don't usually wear when there isn't snow... Or my Happy Garden skirt that I only wear around Easter/Springtime! ~

I may do some exceptions sometimes if I feel like it but I try to dress seasonally, but only with the theme of my outfits, not the weather necessarily! ^^;

So I hope you liked my little insight today!

If you wear alternative fashion yourself; Does your style change with the season? Tell me about it in the comments! :3

Until next time my little shortcakes, stay safe and take care! <3

52 Weeks of Lolita ~ What do you think constitutes Lolita etiquette or good manners?

 Hello my little shortcakes! :3

I'm back on my blog today because I felt like I haven't written a prompt from this challenge in a whiiiile! XD; I've been missing blogging more regularly so I hope you enjoy my written content also! ^w^ The subject for today will be...

What do you think constitutes Lolita etiquette or good manners?

I think that this is something very personal to each and every Lolita! I'm going to try and share some that are the most important to me or that I try to preach personally! :3

Do your best to keep your underwear (bloomers, petticoat) hidden, have a nice posture, try not to slouch!

I know it's not easy for everyone to do for multiple reasons... But in formal situations, especially during meetups and when you take pictures I think that you should try to keep your underwear hidden and have a nice posture. It will help your clothes look suit you better and it will definitely look more elegant! ^^; Sometimes accidents happen *thank you, windy days* but when in Lolita I always try to keep my legs together or at least make sure that we don't see my bloomers or petticoat when I sit down! :3

Do not critique outfits, except when asked!

As goes the saying; if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all! And if someone asks for critiques on their coords or how to improve I always try to point out the things they do right instead of only pointing out their mistakes! Sometimes it can be hard to get a grasp on the fashion at first and it's easy to get discouraged because of that... So I think it's important to also celebrate the good points instead of just bringing up what isn't quite right yet! ~

Always try to be friendly to other Lolitas and especially newcomers!

You never know how far someone is on their Lolita journey or how they discovered the fashion! I think it's important to make everyone feel welcome and at home in your community, especially when it comes to local communities. Give everyone their chances to learn and if you have experience in Lolita fashion I think that you should try your best to be a great ressource for our little sisters/siblings! ^w^

On the same train of thoughts...

Try your best to be kind to strangers when going out in Lolita!

I'm always trying my best to be polite with strangers that asks questions about my style, our Lolita community or kindly ask me for pictures... But my kindness drop when their respect do! XD; If people are polite with me, I'm going to be polite with them... Otherwise they are going to get my death glare and nobody wants that isn't it? ^w^''

I think that is all I can think of at the moment! :3

Do you have any other in mind? ~ Please tell me about them in the comments, I would love to hear your thoughts on the subject! ^w^

Until next time my little shortcakes, stay safe and take care! <3

52 Weeks of Lolita ~ What does the phrase “Lolita lifestyle” mean to you, and do you adhere to it?

 Hello my wonderfully soft kitten paws! :3

I'm back on my blog today with another 52 weeks of Lolita! ~ The subject this week is very exciting to me and if you know me you'll get why! ^w^

~ What does the phrase “Lolita lifestyle” mean to you, and do you adhere to it? ~

Well, if you know me or you've looked at this blog a bit, you know that I consider myself a Lifestyle Lolita since the last decade! I've talked several times about the Lolita lifestyle on my blog with my Lolita Lifestyle 101 series but my posts were more informational and inspirational than personal, indeed! ^w^

So I guess that today is the time to open up my heart about it! ~

To me, Lolita lifestyle is something incredibly precious. Lolita fashion and especially the lifestyle came at a point in my life where I didn't had any goals in life... I didn't think my life or myself had any value or meaning... When I discovered the Lolita lifestyle, I decided that that would be my ultimate life goal! I felt like it was almost like a spiritual calling, a vocation and a message from the universe that I would have finally found my place in the world! ^^;

I know that the Lolita lifestyle is something personal to each and every one of us, but to me it really centers around three key points! ~

~ Wearing Lolita fashion (or Otome) daily!

I think it would be really hard to have a proper Lolita lifestyle for me without wearing Lolita fashion most of the time. I can definitely feel Lolita without all my frills, but wearing it on the daily helps a lot! ^w^ I helps me feel true to myself and my values; even if it's hard, even if some days I don't feel like dressing up all fancy... In the end I know it's going to make me happy and make my day a lot better!

~ Trying my best to make every aspect of my life suit the Lolita aesthetics!

As I am mostly a Sweet Lolita I can usually get away with anything on the Kawaii side, basically! XD; If I have the choice and it doesn't cost a lot more or doesn't require more effort, I'll pretty much always chose to surround myself with cute or elegant things or at least things that are suited to my colour scheme (usually white or lighter colours).

Most of my hobbies are also suitable to Lolita aesthetic also; Playing cute videogames, watching anime, journaling, reading, cooking/baking, watercolours, tending to my garden, etc... Of course I don't force myself to have hobbies that I don't like or enjoy, but I looked at some that would be suited to the Lolita lifestyle and I try to experiment with some that I think would be fun! ^w^

~ Embracing values that are related to the lifestyle and living according to the Princess Code!

I recently made a blog post about that subject! ^w^ The values related to the Lolita lifestyle really helped me shape myself as a person and become more aligned with what I wanted to be! It gave me something to strive for and work towards. The Princess Code is also very dear to me because it helped me find self-love and practice self-care when I wasn't able to do it in my life! ~

I really think that is an aspect of the Lolita lifestyle that is often overlooked. Most of the lifestyle Lolitas I know aren't doing it for other people or to post pretty pictures of their surroundings to Instagram; they are doing it for themselves, because it help them feel happier and more aligned with who they want to be! :3

I hope you enjoyed my little insight on the subject! ^w^ And to you my lovely readers, are you a lifestyle Lolita? Would you like to be one? ~ Leave me a comment, they are always appreciated! :3

Until next time my pretty lilac bows, stay safe and take care! :3

52 Weeks of Lolita ~ What style do you think it's the most underrated and why?

 Hello my yummy salted caramel cookies! ^w^

Today on my blog I'm going to do another 52 weeks of Lolita prompt, yay! ~ The subject for this week is...

~ What style do you think it's the most underrated and why? ~

I think that my answer might not be an unpopular opinion... It's Punk Lolita! ^w^

I think there are various reasons why this style is underrated in my opinion...

First of all, we usually tell beginners that the substyles of Lolita that are more tricky to be pulled off by beginners should be avoided until you get a more familiar grip with the fashion as a whole. And often the newbies that try these styles without having a good knowledge of Lolita fashion first often end up... not looking their best... ^w^''

However, I think that once you get the fashion and how to put a great coordinate together, you can have so much fun, experiment and not be afraid of tastefully breaking the rules a bit to make your coordinate more interesting! ~

I also think that people might not often share their punk coordinates that much because of how uncommon it is. Some of us like to experiment and push things a little bit more far creatively and that's okay! :3 But maybe people don't share these more experimental coordinates as much because they are afraid of getting some criticism that is unwanted or that is trying to put them back into the cookie cutter Lolita mold? I don't really know since I don't experiment that much but that's my little theory, haha! ^w^''

Do you guys agree with me? :3 What is the most underrated Lolita substyle in your opinion? ^w^

Until next time my cute fluffy puppies, stay safe and take care! ~

52 Weeks of Lolita ~ How would you describe Lolita fashion to a curious person you met in passing?

 Hello my colourful music notes! :3

Today I'm going to continue my 52 weeks of Lolita posts! ~ The subject this week is...

How would you describe Lolita fashion to a curious person you met in passing? ~

I would usually modify my answer a little bit depending on what kind of question the person is asking and how they approach me... I think that I've never gave the same answer twice! XD; Because I usually answer and react according to my guts and what my instincts tell me...

If I am by myself and the person seem genuinely just curious and interested; I would say that it's a Japanese fashion inspired by Rococo and Victorian eras but with a modern and cute twist!

If we are in a group/during a meetup; I usually say that we just like to dress up nicely together.

If the person is asking/talking about my "costume"; I usually correct them by saying that it's not a costume and it's just my daily clothes.

If the person is a little bit rude/invasive; I say that it's just my clothes or to leave me alone or I just ignore them... XD;

I think that's pretty much it, haha! ^^ I usually keep my answers short because I'm not very comfortable talking to strangers in public... I am someone that is very reserved and shy so I try to avoid conversations as much as possible. ^w^''

Until next time my pretty pink roses, stay safe and take care! <3

52 Weeks of Lolita ~ What is your favourite brand and why?

 Hello my lovely and warm pumpkin spice lattés! ^^;

As you may have seen during the last few weeks I was in a bit of a blogging slump on my blog... But, my friend Érika showed me a blog; Loliprompts! They have all kinds of prompts for blogging and that's exactly what I needed! :3

So today I decided I would start the 52 Weeks of Lolita! I may skip some weeks if I feel like the subject doesn't apply to me or I may post several in a week if the answer to the prompt is on the shorter side! ^w^

~ What is your favourite brand and why? ~

Firstly, if you have been following me for a while, you may notice that I am far from a brandwhore... XD; The reason for that is obvious; The clothing pieces from all the Lolita brands doesn't fit me, at all... I am a very plus-sized person by Lolita fashion standards and I have been for my whole Lolita journey. So that's why I never really felt attached to Japanese brands because of that...

I still have my favourite designs and aesthetics related to Japanese brands though! I also own a couple of non-clothing items from Japanese brands too so I'm going to list my favourites according to that! ^^

I used to really admire Angelic Pretty when I was starting Lolita more than 10 years ago! ^^ It was the golden era of OTT Sweet and that was all that I was about back in the days! XD; I used to dream of their bright coloured prints full of cute animals, candy, stars and hearts! :3 I was very happy when I could get my grabby hands on my first print replica from Angelic Pretty! Finally, I could be as cute and Over The Top as the beautiful girls I would see on their GLB ads and on their website! I didn't have to "settle for less" anymore and that made me incredibly happy! For once I thought I was the Lolita of my dreams, that I was part of that fairytale and that I wasn't going to be the ugly duckling forever... ^^''

However, nowadays I don't think Angelic Pretty is the brand that I look up to the most anymore... I am not up to date with their recent releases and I haven't been for several years. Now that their Sweet OTT goodness have passed I don't have as much interest in them for the past years.

In the past year or so, I would say that my interest kind of shifted towards Baby The Stars Shine Bright! As a lifestyle Lolita, I think that BTSSB is the brand the represent the Lolita lifestyle the most! Who doesn't want to feel like Momoko, right? ^w^ I love their older designs and the pieces that are very reminiscent of Old-School Lolita. ~ I especially have a very soft spot in my heart for all their Usakumya related merch! ^w^

I mean, who doesn't want cute bunny slippers? XD;

Nowadays I think BTSSB would be the brand that I look the most up to! I really wish I could get my hands on more of their non-clothing items in the future! ^^

I also want to mention a couple of other brands that I like but they wouldn't really be my favourites! ~

I love Innocent World and their take on Sweet-Classic! Even their simpler pieces are made with such nice quality materials from what I have seen. In my personal experience, they are the highest quality of all the brands I've got the chance to see in person! I really wish I could order something from them one day, I've also heard that they have amazing customer service! ^w^

I'm sorry but I'm guilty of loving Metamorphose wacky designs! XD; They also have some pretty nice sweet prints too and they are always creative and colourful! :3

I also need to list Mam Maxicimam as an honorable mention, especially because they got exactly ONE dress that could fit me at my current size! ^^''

The faithful dress! XD;

To be honest, the simpler design doesn't really justify the price for me, (Over 400$ CAD without shipping... ^w^'') however if I had unlimited funds I would probably get it! XD; A girl can dream, right? ^w^''

I also have to finish my honorable mentions with a non-Japanese brand! XD; Especially because that is more accurate to my situation since I actually own 4 dresses from Soufflesong now! ^w^ I would say that if I have to chose one favourite brand clothing wise, it would be them! I love their original prints, their designs and of course the fact that they can offer custom-sized pieces so I can actually wear their clothes! XD;

Do you have a favourite brand or store to shop at for your clothing, Lolita or not? ~ Don't be shy, tell me in the comments below! ^w^

Until next time my pink fluffy blankets, stay safe and take care! <3
