My-Lolita-Dress Clothes Review!

Hello my sweet little buns! ~

Last Friday, I received a package from My-Lolita-Dress which is a Taobao shop reseller and one of my favourite places to shop at lately! I got four items: A skirt, a short sleeved blouse, a jumperskirt and a bag! ~

Making & Shipping Time

I ordered my clothes into two different orders that I asked to combine for shipping. I placed my first order at the very end of December, and the other at the beginning of January. According to the making time of my pieces on their website, I should have received them in May at the latest... I ended up receiving them during the first week of August, which is nearly 3 months more than the making time stated on their website (which is already quite long to be honest).

However, the shipping was lighting fast! It got shipped from China to my house in a week. Sadly, I had to pay customs fees at the door, which kinda disappointed me as I never paid customs fees for my packages except when I shop from My-Lolita-Dress... ^^''

Now, let's review each item one by one! ^w^

Dream of Lolita Kitten Embroidery Skirt in White

I got this skirt because I wanted another simple skirt in white for casual days for so long. ~

Quality & Price

I got this skirt for 49 USD which is around 62 CAD. For such a low price for a custom sized skirt, I am very impressed! The embroidery is very well made and lovely, I couldn't find any flaws or loose thread through the embroidery. The skirt is made with a nice quality light cotton which gives it a lovely summery feel! Dream of Lolita is often considered a hit of miss in terms of quality, but this piece is one of the best quality skirts I own hand down!

Fit

The skirt fits quite nicely at the waist with room to spare, which is something I really like! I thought that the skirt would be a little short at first, but it's just the right length for me and it flatters my body shape very well. :3

Pink Short Sleeved Blouse

I wanted to get another short sleeved pink blouse since I only got one is my closet so I wanted another one to add variety. ^w^

Quality & Price

I got this blouse for 45 USD or 57 CAD which is a very low price for a blouse. The quality of the materials are very nice for the price. The lace and the buttons are really lovely and the light chiffon they used is super soft and looks very elegant. ~ It is a little more dark than shown in the pictures online but I don't mind since I have darker pink items in my closet too so it's not a problem for me.

Fit

This is where I have a problem with this blouse. XD; I get my items custom made because I am plus-sized, and I also have weird proportions so I give the tailors as much informations as I could possibly think of. However, this blouse does fit me, but it sits a little weird. I feel like they forgot to leave room for my bust in the front, and it doesn't flatter my body at all. When I wear it, the front bottom of the blouse rises awkwardly, which makes it seem much shorter in the front than in the back... I am glad I didn't pay that much for it, otherwise I would have been very angry. XD; Since it fits a little wonky, I'll have to wear it only with jumperskirts. ^w^''

Neverland Lolita Candyland Jumperskirt in Pink

When I first saw this jumperskirt, I fell in love instantly! It's probably one of my first offbrand dream prints that I could get my hands on! ~

Quality & Price

I paid 112 USD or 142 CAD for the jumperskirt and the matching headbow (I forgot to take a picture of it, sorry ^w^''). It also came with a detachable sailor collar too which I don't plan to wear so I didn't include it. XD; It is a reasonable price for an original print and design of this quality. The chiffon is light and airy, the lace is an original one too and it's stunning, the print is beautiful, crisp and I couldn't find any flaws on the dress!

Fit

The jumperskirt fits very comfortably with room to spare! I was afraid the waist would fit awkwardly since they do a lot of high waisted designs but they followed my instructions perfectly! The skirt is super full and it flatters my body a lot!

Loris Rainbow Bag

I've been having my eyes on that bag for so long. ^w^

Quality & Price

I got this bag for 34 USD or 43 CAD which is the average price for a Lolita bag. As usual, Loris bags are an amazing quality, they use a very sturdy fake leather for their bags and they are always very well made and very well sewn!

Fit

I decided to include a "fit" category even if it's a bag, because most of the time I get crossbody bags because they are more convenient to wear. However, it's the first time that a crossbody bag from Loris fits so "high" on me. The strap is usually made at least 20cm longer (at least when compared to my other Loris bags) and this time it's very short on me, which makes the bag fits a little higher. It doesn't bother me that much, but I will be less likely to wear it super often because of that, sadly. ^w^''

Overall

I am quite satisfied of my order even if I had to wait a longer time, at least I wasn't in a hurry for my items! For some items I was very surprised by the quality for the price and others not so much, but even if some items doesn't fit perfectly it won't stop me from wearing them or making them work with my outfits. ^w^

Saguenay's Lolitas (& Ouji!) Meeting! ~ August 2017!

Hello my sweetest chocolate puddings! ~

Yesterday, I got to host the second Lolita & Ouji meeting in Saguenay! ^w^ After my panel at the SagGeek this year, a lot of people became more interested in the fashion and I got more requests to host Lolita meets in Saguenay. :3

For this month's meeting, I first planned to host a little picnic, but the weather was awful... ;w; So we went to the Café Cambio, which is one of my favourites cafés in Chicoutimi. ~

Here was my outfit for the meeting!

I first planned to wear this outfit during the SagGeek on Friday, but I ended up choosing another one. XD; So I took the chance to wear this outfit out for this special occasion. :3 I really like pairing this dress with blue, I think it complements the print very well. ~

While we were eating we chatted a lot about what could we do and where could we go for the next meetings! I have a lot of ideas and I can't wait to host the next ones! :3

It was probably the most wonderful Lolita meeting I ever had! ~ Everyone was so beautifully dressed and put so much efforts in their outfits even if some are just starting out in the fashion! We were so nice to each other and I felt like we were a big family. <3 I never felt so happy after a meeting ever! ^w^

SagGeek 2017 Haul!

Hello my puffy little clouds! ~

I'm back on my blog today with my last post about the SagGeek, my convention haul! :3 I didn't have a lot of money to spend due to unforeseen circumstances, so this haul will be kind of small. ^w^'' But I still think it deserved it's own little blog post. ~

Everything I bought at the SagGeek! I got a rainbow hama, some Splatoon pins and a Love Live blind box figure. :3

The hama and the pins were handmade items from two people from the anime club that I am in, so I thought I would promote them a little on my blog. XD;

I got this from my friend Lama. :3 Here is a link to his deviantart! He just started to make hamas so he doesn't have a lot of designs, but he also makes custom designs on request! I don't have a lot of hamas pieces but I couldn't resist this cute rainbow. ^w^''

The awesome Marie, Callie & Squid pins. ~

I got them from an artist from our anime club, ZeliaVee! Here is a link to her tumblr! She also does art commission on request (and her prices are super cheap) so go check her out! :3 I really love her art style and I wish I could have bought more of her designs! *v* But since I didn't had any Splatoon pins, I went for the Splatoon ones! :3

I hesitated a lot to buy one, I really like Love Live, but there are certain characters that I don't like as much. ;w; So I didn't know if it was worth the price to only buy one, what if I didn't like the character?

I got the cute little Kotori! ~

I really like the quality of this figure for the price. *o* It's quite a small figure, but I don't mind since it was only 13$. But even for the size, the quality of the paint and the details on the figure are amazing and I am super proud to add her to my collection. :3 Also, Kotori is one of my favourite characters (I have like 5 so I had a nice chance to get one I liked) so I was super happy to get her! ^w^

That was my small SagGeek haul for this year! ~ I hope to get on a more regular posting schedule soon, I have so many ideas of things I want to blog about! :3

SagGeek 2017 Review! ~ Sunday July 23th!

Hello my cute flowery teacups! ~

Today it's time for the review of the last day of the SagGeek which is a geek/anime convention in my city. :3 (I've already reviewed the first two days in my blog earlier so check this out! ^w^)

This day was veeeery overwhelming for me, because I got to host my very first panel at a convention! ~ My panel was the first thing in the morning, so I rushed out to make sure everything I needed was ready and I also wanted to make sure I had a little bit of time to rest before starting my panel. ^o^'' I was super nervous, but in the end everything went super well. :3

My panel was called "Mode Lolita 101" which translates into "Lolita Fashion 101", which is pretty self-explanatory. XD;

I covered everything from the origins of the fashion, the anatomy of a Lolita outfit, what to avoid in Lolita fashion, the different styles, where to buy clothes and where to avoid buying clothes, building your own Lolita closet and your firsts outfits and finally and the lifestyle and Lolita meetups. ~

Obviously, I tried to be as neutral as possible, but I shared a lot of my own advice and my own opinion on the subject, which is what a panel is for in my opinion. :3 I kinda liked it and I look forward doing a Lolita Fashion 201 panel maybe next year along with this one? ^w^'' We will see! :3

After my panel I decided to do a little picnic (in the lobby as we didn't found a nice patch of grass outside XD) and I chatted with the people I got interested into Lolita fashion as well as my friends too. :3 I was feeling a lot less stressed and I enjoyed our little lunch together a lot. ~

After our meal we went to see the award ceremony and the closing ceremony of the convention.

I was happy with the results of the mascarade, most of the people with the nicest cosplays won something, including my friend Mel! ^o^ I was so proud of her, I cried a little bit to be honest. ^w^''

Since I knew I was going to host a picnic on that day I decided to wear Country Lolita. :3 It's the first time I coordinate my short sleeved blue blouse with my Sheep Garden jumperskirt and I liked it to bits! ^w^ I think it makes the blue details on the print pop out a lot. ~

I also snapped a couple of pictures of my friend Julie with her awesome steampunk outfit!

Alexa and Francois only came to the convention of that day and I was so busy that I didn't had much time to spend with them. ^w^'' But I'm happy I got to see them at least! ~

After the convention the Prince and I kinda organized a huge dinner at the Sam Sam buffet! XD; It started with only the two of us but as the convention went by I invited pretty much everyone that I knew. ^w^''

I was super happy to see everyone for our last meal together after the convention. :3 The buffet was delicious by the way, it was nice to eat to our hearts stomach content after a nice but stressful weekend. ~

I had a really awesome time with all the people I got the chance to talk to! I got to meet a lot of awesome people, it filled me with joy and warmed my heart so much to see how many people are important to me, and care about me also. ^w^

Overall I had the most awesome time at the SagGeek this year! It's nice to get to spend time with the people who like the same things as you, that have the same passions as you, it makes you feel a little less weird and lonely... I never could have imagined to share my life with such precious people to me, especially in the city I live in. I feel blessed and I'm so grateful to have such awesome and magical people in my life. ^o^/
