Long time no see! :3 It have been a little while since I posted here, I'm sorry. ;w; I only had two outfit pictures from two weeks ago and since I wasn't feeling my best that week I figured out it would be better to wait another week so I have more outfit to share and I am in a better mood! ^w^

So, I have six outfits from two weeks ago and from last week to share on my blog tonight. ~ Let's start with my outfits from two weeks ago! ^o^

I received my red blouse from Oo Jia during the first week of the month. :3 I wanted to wear an outfit with it on the following Monday. ~

I decided to wear a simple red and blue outfit with little touches of white. :3 I felt kinda patriotic in that outfit. XD;

Headbow; Oo Jia.
Blouse; Oo Jia.
Skirt; Oo Jia.
Socks; Bodyline.
Shoes; Bodyline.
Bag; Loris.
Accessories; Paradise Rose & Offbrand.

Now, my outfit from Wednesday from two weeks ago. ~

A pink and white coordinate with my Star Night Theatre dress. ~ I paired a bunny necklace with my bunny bag and I chose tulle accessories for a more elegant touch. :3

Here is what I wore on Tuesday. ~

Probably one of the last times I'll wear Country-Lolita this year. ;w; I paired my pink gingham skirt with my peachy-pink cutsew for a more casual look. ~ I added pink and white socks to match the white on the skirt and on my cutsew. :3 Finally, I wore a golden necklace to match the golden colour of my bag and my hat. ^w^

Cutsew; Rose Melody.
Skirt; Oo Jia.
Socks; Secret Shop.

I love that outfit a lot because it's not a colour scheme I wear often. :3 I like to pair a white main piece with a different coloured blouse. ^w^ So, I coordinated my Rose Melody carrousel skirt with pink. ~ I paired it with pony socks and a heart necklace and heart bag. ~

Headbow; Fan Plus Friend.
Blouse; Dear Celine.
Skirt; Rose Melody.

Finally, my outfit from Thursday. :3

An outfit that is more on the simple side for that day since I was very tired. ~w~ I paired my lilac skirt with a white and pink blouse and white and pink polka dot socks. I completed the outfit with a white and pink bunny bag for a sweet look. ^w^

Best Friends Forever! XD;

Finally I am up to date with my outfits! ^w^ I'll do another Lolita Challenge in another post because I think this one is long enough. OwO''

~ What I thought when I got my first real piece of Lolita. ~

I personally really have a hard time figuring out what was my very first Lolita piece... Was it my first Lolita inspired dress? Was it the first handmade Lolita skirt I made? Was it the first accessory I bought from an official Lolita shop? Was it my first dress I bought from an official Lolita shop? I don't know, because I can't figure it out myself and the opinion about what is your first real piece of Lolita differ so much from person to person...

The first time I wore something that was close to Lolita fashion was at my prom. I designed a Lolita inspired dress and I got it made by a local seamstress. At first, I didn't really know about the fashion, I only knew the name and I knew it was inspired by Rococo and Victorian eras... When I tried on my prom dress for the first time, I really knew that's what I wanted to wear for the rest of my life. I truly felt like, for once, I belonged somewhere... I felt like I found my true destiny... That's what I wanted to live for, every single day of my life. That's where the story begins...

During the summer months, I tried to gather as much information on Lolita clothes as possible. I thought it would be easier to make my own clothes because of my size so I bought a bunch of fabrics that reminded me of Lolita and I made a few skirts and one dress. I also bought a loliable skirt, a few loliable blouses and a bunch of white knee-high socks. I was ready for the world. XD; During the summer I worked on my Lolita wardrobe nearly everyday, I wanted to be able to be truly myself in the clothes that I liked when I would enter college. I also bleached my black hair for a colour that was more suitable to Lolita in my opinion: Ginger. :3 I didn't really know about Lolita styles a lot yet, so my closet was a mix of Sweet Lolita, Classic Lolita and Country Lolita prints. To me, I was becoming more and more like I truly wanted... It felt like a rebirth. ~

When school began, I nearly wore Lolita fashion everyday. I didn't had enough clothes to wear it every single day of the week yet, but I made a couple more skirts in September. At that time, I didn't wore a petticoat or bloomers... I found out a shop that would make them in custom size for me, so I ordered two pairs of bloomers, a petticoat and a white headdress. :3 In the beginning of autumn, I found about the Lolita Lifestyle. ~ That's what made me decide to wear Lolita Fashion everyday and to live forever as a pure victorian maiden. :3 As I was still researching on Lolita, I found out about the "rules" of the fashion... It made me feel like I was off... That I wasn't a real Lolita and that all my efforts were useless... I also joined my local community forums, and I truly felt like Lolita Fashion and Lifestyle wasn't my place at all... I felt like I wasn't welcomed as much as I thought to... I kinda lost hope and I thought about stopping to wear the fashion a lot...

During the winter months, I found more about shops that would make custom sizing. I was happy to discover that I could really have "true" Lolita clothes made to my size. :3 I saved up for my very first Anna House order! I also ordered some accessories from Bodyline too. ~ I also figured out that I would be a lot happier if I would leave my local community... Most of them wouldn't understand what Lolita Lifestyle is, and how much strength it takes to wear the fashion on a daily basis... In January, I received my Anna House order, there was a black and white polka dot skirt and a pink one piece. I consider the pink one piece my very first dream dress... It's the first Lolita dress that I would see me wearing, because it was one of the first pieces I saw that could be custom made. *w* I could see my body in that dress, I could see my face above the collar... I really felt like I was ment to wear that dress, that this dress was the one for me... ~w~ When I tried it on for the first time, it felt too good to be true... I, Tomoyo, was able to wear a TRUE Lolita Fashion dress... It was a very big step towards my goal, and I could see that, even if I needed custom made pieces, I would be able to be the Lolita from my dreams... I only needed courage and strength so I could face the world in Lolita...

Since that time, I never stopped wearing the fashion and living the lifestyle. Sure, I had times when I didn't felt that confident about my coordinates but I never let people bring me down again. It took me some time to accept that I was deserving such dresses, that I was cute enough, that I was "Lolita" enough... I didn't used to wear my pink one piece a lot when I first got it, because I didn't felt like I deserved it, and it took me a couple of months to get used to have such lovely pieces... It truly ment a lot to me. ~

I wanted to start something new on my blog today! :3 I saved this "52 Lolita Challenge" in my computer for... Nearly two years now? I wanted to do it when I know I'll have time to complete all the challenge. Basically, you are supposed to blog about one Lolita related thing a week for a year. However, to fit my needs I think I'll try to post a subject when I'll have the time, it can be four times a week or every two weeks, we'll see! ^w^ I really wanted to get back on track with more "Lifestyle" related blogging, and I was searching for a way to do so... Now I found it! :3

They have a particular order but I'll choose a random one with a random number generator, just because it's more fun this way! ^w^

This time I picked...

~ How I get out of a wardrobe slump. ~

It's funny because, I was REALLY in a wardrobe slump during the end of last year. I was wondering what should I do with my closet, should I keep wearing OTT Sweet or should I start wearing Classic Lolita... I really didn't know where my closet would lead me. I felt very boring in almost all my coords... Even if they were perfectly coordinated, I felt like I was always wearing the same colours, the same prints, the same accessories...

At first, I thought that I should invest myself more into my Fairy-Kei wardrobe. Since this style is so different from Lolita fashion, I thought that would make me appreciate my Lolita coordinates more. I promised myself at the beginning of the year that I would only buy Fairy-Kei clothes during the first part of the year so I could have a functional small Fairy-Kei closet. I slowly started to wear Fairy-Kei but... I felt a little uncomfortable about it at first... I knew I wasn't going to wear it as much as I would like to... So I stopped buying Fairy-Kei clothes, because I thought this would lead to nothing...

As time passed, I realized that I kinda had a "pattern" with my coordinates: The things that makes my Lolita coordinates so different are the blouse, the socks and the bag that I always try to match together. I also took a look at my closet and I realized that, since my love for Country Lolita was growing, I had more pieces with strawberries on them... Red strawberries... At the time, I counted 6 pieces with red on them in my closet, it was quite a lot! Enough for me to make the decision to add a new "main colour" to my closet: Red! It was obvious to me that it was an investment, because with only a blouse, a pair of shoes and a few accessories, I'll be able to spice up old prints into new coordinates, and with a new colour scheme too! ~ I also recently decided that I would invest into a light blue blouse and a lilac blouse too, so I can mix and match them with my main pieces I already have in my closet and so these won't seem so boring anymore. :3

By wearing Lolita fashion everyday like me, it's very easy to get tired of wearing the same clothes... I have to be very creative to find new ways to coordinate the same pieces, week after week. Sometimes I wear the same coordinates because I know I like them... But after wearing the exact same coordinate 4 or 5 times, you get tired of seeing it and you want to innovate with your pieces.

So, my advice if you are into a wardrobe slump is: Take the time to analyse your closet and your outfits. Why are you unhappy with your outfits? Is it because you always wear the same colours? Is it because they are all based around the same theme? Is it because you always wear the same accessories? Is it because you always wear the same prints/dresses?

If you don't have the budget to buy a new blouse, new shoes or a new bag, try something smaller! Maybe invest in a headbow in a colour that is on your prints but you don't have in the main colours of your closet. Pair it with a brooch the same colour of the headbow or a necklace and you have a new coordinate for less than 15$. ~ Don't be afraid of pairing your pieces with unusual colour combos, maybe you will discover new potential in your pieces. :3 Try to wear different coloured long sleeved blouses under your OPs for a different look each time so they look less boring than when they are just left on their own... There's a lot of ways to get out of a wardrobe slump, you just have to think carefully about it and try new things! :3
